[Man in nature, nature in man]

In the work [Hu]man Nature we are giving vent to modern man's divided yet obsessed attitude towards nature. Just as man is a part of nature, so is nature undeniably and indelibly always within man. Over time, man has used technology to mould nature into a powerful tool for his own purposes. Just as man has turned animals into machines, so does he also wish to see machines exhibit animal characteristics. For man, it is not enough merely to be human: he wants to define himself as both animal and machine.
