Crime SceneThe subject of the environmental art work Crime Scene is the littering and contamination of the environment. In this work we are looking at the general public’s attitude towards, and willingness to take personal responsibility for, its surroundings. Crime Scene consists of three selected examples of environmental crime plus documented displays of these crime scenes in Salo Art Museum. The actual places, which are all out-doors, have been roped off with ‘police tape’, and all three are maintained in this way throughout the duration of the exhibition. Rubbish and/or contaminated soil found in these places has been collected in sealed evidence bags and the incident documented.
