Exhibition sites and groundsHalikonlahti, on the Gulf of Halikko, is an age-old and invaluable theatre of cultural and natural history in Fennoscandia. The gulf was formed by a retreating glacier during the Ice-age. Iron-age cultures inhabited its shores from 200-600 A.D., and the herbs cultivated at that time still flourish in the area. Reeds thriving in the nutrient rich region provide shelter for innumerable migratory birds and various nesting species.
