MY LAND, MY WATER,  a video essay, 2008
in cooperation with Lauri Secondary School in Salo, interviewing pupils

Starting point for the video is the partitioning of land, sale of land and the construction of houses and man-made and dammed lakes. I want to discuss on the notion of expression “my”: My land, my water, my lake etc. It is a different “my” with different perceptions of ownership, if one talks about “my bike” or “my land” and “my water”. In the video I call into question the concepts of ownership, the property rights and responsibility. Who is entitled to the nature resources? Who can claim them? Where’s the responsibility?
